This guide provides information on programs for all ages from early childhood through adult, as well as information on professional training opportunities.

Mock Trial

Through the collaboration of SBCSS and the office of the San Bernardino County District Attorney, the Mock Trial program provides high school (9th-12th) students with a working knowledge of legal institutions and the judicial system. Students research a case developed by the Constitutional Rights Foundation and prepare for trial as attorneys, witnesses, defendants, bailiffs, and clerks. Local judges, prosecutors, public defenders, and private attorneys volunteer their time to provide guidance in courtroom procedure and trial preparation. These volunteers preside over the trials and score the events.
